Of course he was suspect. He was the first person many people thought of when nude photos, allegedly ofRihanna, showed up on the Internet on Friday.

But Chris Brown says he didn't do it.

"This is both a false and defamatory statement," his rep says in a statement to Essence.com. "Chris has not released or ‘leaked’ any photos of Rihanna (or anyone else for that matter)."

Rihanna's record label, Island Def Jam Group, hasn't said whether the photos are of their singer, but it has reportedly fired off a cease-and-desist letter to web sites that published the photos.

After celebrity blogger Perez Hilton suggested that Brown "must be responsible" for leaking the pics, Brown's spokesperson issued the denial.

Brown, who dated Rihanna for a year, is charged with two felony counts in connection with an altercation between the two in February.
